Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team at Animal Care Veterinary Services in Belfast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, a passion for animal care, and the ability to provide high-quality medical treatment to a variety of animals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose medical conditions in animals and recommend appropriate treatment.
  • Perform routine and emergency surgeries with skill and care.
  • Advise pet owners on nutrition and preventative care strategies.
  • Ensure the welfare and comfort of animals during and after treatment.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with veterinary practices.
  • Support the veterinary team in daily operations and administrative tasks.
  • Promote a positive and respectful environment within the clinic.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a veterinary practice, particularly in surgery and emergency care
