Job Description

As an Urban Planning Consultant, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of urban environments within Bath. You will be responsible for conducting research, developing land-use plans, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your insights will influence important community projects.

Responsibilities

• Assess and advise on land-use proposals to ensure they meet strategic objectives.
• Compile data and prepare analytical reports to support planning applications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Advocate for sustainable design principles in urban environments.
• Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and local governments.
• Review planning applications and provide expert recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of funding proposals for urban projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field
• Master's degree in Urban Planning or related discipline is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in urban planning and development

Certifications

• Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
• LEED Accredited Professional is beneficial

• Familiarity with Planning Software: Knowledge of additional planning software tools such as SketchUp and ArcGIS.
