We are seeking enthusiastic Tour Guides to lead engaging tours around Edinburgh's iconic landmarks and hidden gems. Ideal candidates will possess a love for history and storytelling, along with excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver captivating tours that entertain and educate guests.
  • Utilise storytelling techniques to enhance guest engagement.
  • Assist in the marketing and promotion of new tour offerings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create unique tour experiences.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and make improvements as necessary.
  • Stay informed about local events and happenings that may enhance tours.
  • Participate in training sessions to develop skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in History, Tourism, or related field is preferred
  • Public Speaking Strong public speaking skills to engage groups of various sizes.
  • Cultural Knowledge In-depth knowledge of Edinburgh's culture and history.
  • Interpersonal Skills Ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
  • Adaptability Capable of adjusting tours based on guest feedback and conditions.
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience in local history or archaeology: A background in local history or archaeology would greatly enhance tours.
  • Skills in digital storytelling: Familiarity with using social media to engage guests pre and post-tour.
