Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Rod Buster to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible for reinforcing concrete structures by installing steel bars or mesh to improve structural integrity and strength.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and construction plans to understand project specifications.
• Organize the work area for optimal efficiency and safety.
• Utilize rebar cutters and benders to shape steel bars accurately.
• Install reinforcing steel in accordance with structural design.
• Secure steel bars using appropriate fastening techniques.
• Maintain alignment and spacing of bars as per engineering standards.
• Conduct inspections of completed reinforcement to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, maintaining a hazard-free workspace.
• Work in close coordination with site managers and other crew members.
• Document daily activities and report on material usage.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but relevant certifications in steel reinforcement are a plus.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Steel Rod Buster or in a similar role in the construction industry.
