Job Description
As a Firebreak Cutter, you will be crucial in creating firebreaks that help prevent the spread of wildfires. Your role will involve working outdoors in challenging conditions and operating various machinery while maintaining safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Implement firebreak construction plans in line with regulations.
Operate heavy equipment, including bulldozers and excavators.
Ensure compliance with environmental guidelines during operations.
Coordinate with local fire departments on fire risk assessments.
Keep accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
Assist in emergency response efforts during wildfire events.
Conduct post-operation assessments for future improvements.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification in forestry or land management preferred
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in forestry, land management, or a related field

Heavy machinery operation

First Aid and CPR certified
