Job Description

As a Parent Educator, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to parents, helping them develop their parenting skills and enhance positive child development. You will work closely with families to assess their needs and deliver tailored programs that promote effective communication and healthy relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one consultations to provide personalized guidance to parents.
  • Facilitate parenting workshops that enhance skills in communication and problem-solving.
  • Develop tailored resources and materials to support parenting education.
  • Coordinate with community resources and services available for families in need.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of best practices.
  • Monitor and review child and family progress and adjust strategies as required.
  • Utilize digital platforms for remote workshops and consultations when necessary.
  • Advocate for the needs of families in community meetings and forums.
  • Create a safe and welcoming space for parents to express concerns and experiences.
  • Assist in the refinement and growth of parenting programs based on participant feedback.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Family Studies, or a related field
  • Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in delivering parenting programs within community settings
