Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Tax Specialist to join our energetic team in York. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in UK tax laws, delivering expert advice and ensuring compliance for our clients. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio, providing solutions tailored to individual client needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance and reporting for clients in accordance with UK regulations.
• Advise on VAT, corporate tax, income tax, and inheritance tax matters.
• Assist clients with effective tax planning strategies based on individual financial circumstances.
• Engage with HMRC to resolve client inquiries and disputes.
• Prepare financial statements and tax returns accurately and on time.
• Develop training materials and workshops on tax compliance for clients and staff.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax compliance processes and systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience working in tax advisory roles
