Intertype Operator

Job Description

As an Intertype Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Intertype machine, setting type, and producing high-quality printed materials. Your attention to detail and craftsmanship will ensure that our products meet the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of the Intertype machine to produce various printed materials.
• Adjust typesetting as required to meet print quality requirements.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine.
• Verify accuracy and quality of printed outputs against company standards.
• Assist in training junior operators and new staff on machine operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating Intertype machines or similar typesetting equipment.

Technical Skills

• Intertype machine operation
• Typesetting techniques

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a printing or publishing environment: Additional experience would be beneficial to adapt quickly to our workflow.
• Familiarity with other typesetting technologies and equipment: Knowledge of various typesetting methods will be advantageous.
