Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Social Worker Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, along with a strong background in psychiatric social work. In this role, you will supervise social workers, develop treatment plans, and ensure compliance with care standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance to a team of psychiatric social workers.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and develop individualised care plans.
  • Respond to crisis situations with appropriate intervention techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and encourage professional development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead training sessions for staff on new practices and compliance.
  • Promote a culture of respect and inclusivity within the team.
Job Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Valid professional registration as a social worker
  • Additional qualifications in psychiatric social work or mental health counselling (desirable)
  • Psychiatric assessment Expert ability to assess psychiatric conditions and develop treatment plans.
  • Crisis intervention Skilled in effectively managing emergency psychiatric situations.
  • Case management systems Experience with various psychiatric and case management software.
  • Leadership Ability to lead and motivate a team towards high-quality care delivery.
  • Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Empathy Deep understanding and compassion towards patients and their families.
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience conducting training and workshops: Demonstrated ability to lead training sessions that develop staff capabilities.
  • Publication in psychiatric social work: Previous publications or presentations in the mental health space are highly valued.
