Job Description

The Access Services Librarian is responsible for managing circulation, interlibrary loan services, and reserves functions, ensuring excellent customer service at all times. This role involves supervising staff, collaborating with library departments, and developing policies that enhance library services.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise circulation staff, ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Evaluate and enhance interlibrary loan processes to streamline user access.
  • Collaborate with library management on strategic initiatives.
  • Lead staff training sessions on library systems and processes.
  • Implement and maintain customer service best practices.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials to promote library services.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
Experience
  • At least 3 years in library services, including supervisory roles.
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
