Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical components and systems that meet our clients' needs. You should have a strong understanding of mechanical principles and be proficient in CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design phase of mechanical projects from conception to completion.
  • Utilize advanced modeling techniques to create and refine designs.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines for integration.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for design failures or issues.
  • Organize and manage project schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain records.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers in best practices.
  • Engage with clients to understand their design requirements.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Ensure all engineering designs are aligned with company policies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design
