Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Soil Health Technician to join our dedicated team in Wigan. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing and improving soil health through analytical techniques and fieldwork. You will work closely with farmers and environmental consultants to implement sustainable practices that enhance soil productivity and biodiversity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed soil assessments in various agricultural settings.
  • Analyse soil data and prepare reports with actionable insights.
  • Liaise with agricultural consultants and local farmers.
  • Implement soil conservation strategies based on research findings.
  • Conduct education sessions for stakeholders on soil management.
  • Research best practices and innovative techniques in soil health.

  • Support interdisciplinary projects that involve soil management and environmental impacts.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Soil Science or Environmental Management is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in soil management or sustainable agriculture
