Job Description

As a Mine Wirer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the electrical systems within our underground mines are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a strong grounding in electrical practices specific to mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain vital electrical systems for mining operations.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Test and monitor electrical systems for optimal performance.
• Identify electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Interface with various departments to facilitate operations.
• Document all maintenance work and material usage.
• Engage in training opportunities to further skills and safety knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
• Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) certification

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in wiring and cabling for mining operations

• Electrical Systems Knowledge

Advantageous
