Job Description

As a Natural Resources Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the management and conservation of natural resources. Your tasks will include monitoring, researching, and implementing best practices for the sustainable use of land, water, and wildlife.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in fieldwork for ecosystem assessments, including flora and fauna surveys.
  • Gather and analyse environmental data using various tools and techniques.
  • Assist in developing natural resources management plans and strategies.
  • Conduct outreach and educational activities in local communities on conservation topics.
  • Utilise GIS software to map and analyse ecological data.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to support project objectives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Master's degree in Natural Resource Management is preferred
Experience
  • Experience with species identification and wildlife surveys is a plus.
