Job Description

As a Drill Hand, you will be responsible for operating drilling machinery and equipment across various sites, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times. You’ll collaborate closely with your team to optimise drilling operations and maintain essential records.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor drilling equipment and machinery effectively to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all drilling equipment.
• Help set up and break down drilling sites while adhering to safety protocols.
• Record and report drilling progress and any notable findings during operations.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
• Assist with data collection and analysis during drilling activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and other crew members for effective operations.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a safety-first culture.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
• Exercise good communication skills to relay important information to team leads.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant certifications in drilling operations or mining

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in drilling operations is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic systems

• First aid certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
