Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing a variety of civil engineering projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and clients alike.

Responsibilities

• Lead design meetings and project reviews with stakeholders.
• Assess and manage project risks throughout the engineering process.
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for project execution.
• Conduct quality control inspections on-site and ensure adherence to standards.
• Collaborate on sustainable design practices to minimise environmental impact.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in best practices and technical skills.
• Prepare technical documentation for compliance and regulatory reviews.
• Manage project budgets and provide cost estimates for client reviews.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in civil engineering roles with project management

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Engineering

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Safety
• Certified Project Manager (CPM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
