Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Conservation Officer to join our team in Basingstoke. This role involves safeguarding local ecosystems, promoting wildlife protection, and ensuring sustainable resource management. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to environmental conservation and excellent fieldwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of conservation activities and project outcomes.
  • Evaluate and assess the success of conservation programs.
  • Develop educational materials to raise environmental awareness.
  • Foster partnerships with local businesses for conservation funding.
  • Advise on wildlife protection regulations and practices.
  • Organize and lead habitat restoration efforts.
  • Assist in grant writing and fundraising for conservation initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in conservation
