Switchboard Operator

Job Description

As a Switchboard Operator, you will play a key role in managing incoming calls, ensuring that they are directed to the appropriate departments, and providing exceptional service to our callers. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage and direct incoming calls.
• Log all calls accurately for record-keeping.
• Communicate effectively with callers to assess their needs.
• Handle inquiries and customer complaints with professionalism.
• Monitor multiple phone lines and respond appropriately.
• Assist in scheduling appointments and handling requests.
• Provide technical support regarding phone systems as needed.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve call handling processes.
• Train new staff on switchboard operations and protocols.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience as a switchboard operator or in a similar role.
