Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Nottingham team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems that meet client specifications and enhance product performance. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of design with production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine mechanical designs using CAD tools.
  • Work closely with suppliers to select materials and components for prototypes.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations on design progress and findings.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on design best practices.
  • Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts during the production phase.
  • Incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders into design iterations.
  • Manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering
Technical Skills
  • CAD Software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
