Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Building Surveyor to join our team in Salisbury. The successful candidate will have experience in architectural surveying and a strong understanding of building regulations, helping us to deliver exceptional services to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform condition surveys, feasibility studies, and planned maintenance assessments.
  • Assess and identify defects in buildings and structures.
  • Ensure compliance with local building regulations and relevant codes.
  • Provide technical advice on repair and maintenance solutions.
  • Deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders regarding project status.
  • Liaise with local authorities and ensure that planning permissions are adhered to.
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to health and safety assessments.
  • Mentor junior surveyors and assist in their professional development.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to remain relevant in the field.
  • Prepare and submit planning and building regulation applications.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Building Surveying or Estates Management
  • Chartered status with RICS is essential
Experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the construction sector
