Library Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Library Technician to support our library services. As a vital member of our educational team in Guildford, you will assist in the management of library resources, facilitate student inquiries, and promote literacy and learning. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for aiding educational development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise library operations in the absence of the Head Librarian.
• Develop and curate engaging content for the library’s social media and newsletters.
• Assist in the management of library software and databases.
• Conduct outreach activities to promote library services to the larger community.
• Foster partnerships with other educational institutions to enhance library services.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Library Science or Information Management is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a library or educational support role

Languages

• English: Fluent
