Crane and Tower Operator

Job Description

The Crane and Tower Operator will be responsible for operating various cranes to lift, move, and position heavy objects across multiple construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of cranes, including mobile and tower cranes.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on crane equipment.
• Enforce safety procedures and conduct safety audits on site.
• Engage with site managers and other team members to coordinate operations.
• Document and report any incidents or issues to management immediately.
• Assist in the setup and dismantling of crane equipment as required.
• Ensure the efficient use of cranes to maximise productivity on site.
• Monitor weather conditions to ensure safe operation of cranes.
• Participate in regular safety and operational training workshops.

Requirements

Education

• Valid crane operator certification
• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience as a crane operator in the construction industry

Technical Skills

• Cranes and rigging equipment
• Radio communication equipment

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Valid driver's license

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with heavy machinery operation: Hands-on experience operating various construction machinery.
