Photonics Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as a Photonics Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and maintaining state-of-the-art optical communication networks. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of optical network architectures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project documentation for optical network installations.
• Provide technical support for operational issues that arise.
• Evaluate new optical technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems.
• Implement network automation and scripting for streamlined operations.
• Liaise with clients to ascertain their needs and provide technical solutions.
• Train junior engineers and interns on optical network principles.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field

Experience

• Experience with DWDM, SONET, SDH, Ethernet, and IP/MPLS networks required
