Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Processing Archivist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining records, documents, and other materials while ensuring efficient retrieval and preservation of vital information.

Responsibilities

  • Organise diverse materials in line with archival best practices.
  • Develop finding aids to improve accessibility for users.
  • Convene with archival team members to foster collaborative practices.
  • Assist in the preservation of both physical and digital records.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy in descriptions.
  • Facilitate training programs for interns and volunteers.
  • Promote community engagement through workshops and exhibitions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in archival studies, library science, or a related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is an asset
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in an archival role
