Job Description

As a Faith Doctor, you will provide vital spiritual care and emotional support to patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with healthcare teams in a hospital setting, ensuring that the spiritual needs of patients are met with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Offer guidance to patients from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
• Oversee the development of spiritual care programs within the healthcare setting.
• Advocate for patients’ spiritual needs within the interdisciplinary team.
• Document spiritual care interventions and patient responses accurately.
• Provide training sessions for staff on spiritual care practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

Education

• Doctoral degree in theology, divinity, or related field
• Certification in spiritual care or related field

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working in healthcare settings

Technical Skills

• Expertise in spiritual assessment
• Knowledge of end-of-life care practices

Soft Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Additional languages preferred: Basic
