Job Description

The Fire Prevention Captain plays a critical role in ensuring fire safety and compliance within our organisation. This position involves leading a team of firefighters, conducting inspections, and overseeing training programs for fire safety. You will also develop and implement fire prevention strategies to mitigate risks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design and enforce fire prevention policies across departments.
  • Supervise training sessions to enhance employees' fire safety awareness.
  • Perform comprehensive audits of fire safety compliance.
  • Ensure all fire equipment is current and properly maintained.
  • Assess new technologies and methods for improving fire prevention.
  • Engage with community fire safety initiatives and outreach programs.
  • Review and update emergency response plans regularly.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Fire Science or related field
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management qualification is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in fire safety roles with supervisory responsibility.
