Job Description

We are looking for an Automotive Service Engineer to join our team in Dumfries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of vehicles and delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and issue reports for necessary repairs.
  • Perform complex repairs and part replacements on various makes and models.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding work progress and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training courses.
  • Assist in managing workshop inventory and ordering parts.

Requirements

Education
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive service and repair
