Locksmith Technician

Job Description

As a Locksmith Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of locks and security systems. Your role will involve both mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring security for residential and commercial properties throughout London.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace locks and security systems as per client specifications.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on security systems.
• Manage emergency situations such as lockouts with efficiency.
• Offer expert advice on security solutions tailored to clients' needs.
• Document service calls and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Work closely with suppliers for timely acquisition of security components.
• Educate clients on new security systems and technologies.
• Assist in training junior technicians and apprentices.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ or equivalent qualification in Locksmithing
• CRB/DBS check required

Experience

• Proven experience as a Locksmith Technician or similar role

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Electronic Security Systems
• Key Cutting and Duplication

Soft Skills

• Reliability
• Teamwork

Advantageous

• Proficiency in automotive locksmithing: Experience in dealing with car locks and keys.
• Familiarity with master key systems: Knowledge of designing and implementing master key systems.
