Job Description

As a Safety Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining workplace safety by conducting thorough inspections and audits. You’ll be responsible for identifying hazards, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Document and report any safety violations or hazards.
• Assist in developing emergency response plans.
• Monitor the implementation of recommended safety measures.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies as needed.
• Compile and present safety performance reports.
• Coordinate safety drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
• Evaluate and recommend safety equipment purchases.
• Stay informed about industry-specific safety best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Professional certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) are preferred

Experience

• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with statistical analysis software
• Safety Management Systems knowledge

Soft Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of ISO standards relating to safety management: Experience with ISO 45001 or similar standards is beneficial.
