Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Explosion Welder to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for using explosive charges to bond metal plates in a safe and efficient manner. This is a crucial role that contributes directly to the success of our engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Document and maintain accurate records of welding activities.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on welding equipment.
• Conduct tests on the welded materials to verify strength and quality.
• Coordinate with other welders to optimise workflow and productivity.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical welding certification preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of explosion welding experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Safety Standards Compliance
• Problem Solving

Advantageous

• Experience with Non-destructive Testing Techniques: Knowledge in methods for inspecting weld quality without causing damage.
• Ability to Operate Other Welding Equipment such as TIG and MIG: Experience in using different welding equipment adds versatility to the role.
