Public Health Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to promote and protect community health in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and health education, working closely with local authorities and health providers to address public health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies for disease prevention and health promotion.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of health programs.
• Collaborate with local authorities on health policies.
• Collect and analyse health-related data.
• Monitor emerging public health issues.
• Engage community members in health improvement projects.
• Support the development of public health research initiatives.
• Communicate health information effectively to the public.
• Encourage community participation in health programs.
• Write proposals for funding public health projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's in Public Health is an asset

• 3-5 years in public health roles

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
