Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Shellfish Dredge Operator to join our team. The role involves operating and maintaining shellfish dredging equipment while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental guidelines. You will play a vital role in harvesting shellfish sustainably.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and inspect dredging equipment and boats to maximise efficiency.
  • Determine suitable fishing areas and navigate vessels for effective dredging.
  • Record and report on catch quantities, fishing locations, and environmental observations.
  • Ensure compliance with fishery regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Assist with data collection for research and regulatory compliance purposes.

Requirements

Education
  • Marine Biology or Fisheries Management certification preferred
Experience
  • Experience in shellfish harvesting and marine operations.
