Job Description

The Aviation Warfare Systems Operator (Acoustic) will operate and maintain acoustic sensor systems on aircraft, conducting naval surveillance and providing intelligence support to military operations. This role demands a solid understanding of acoustic principles alongside proficiency in specialist equipment and software.

Responsibilities

  • Operate acoustic sensor systems in airborne and ground-based scenarios.
  • Maintain acoustic sensor equipment, troubleshooting and repairing faults as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing operational plans involving acoustic surveillance.
  • Document operational activities and maintain detailed logs for review.
  • Engage in performance assessments and recommend enhancements to existing systems.

Requirements

Education
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited training program in acoustic sensor operations or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in acoustic sensor operations or related field, preferably in a military or defence environment.
