Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Sports Coach to join our team in Wrexham. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a sports environment and a strong commitment to promoting physical activity in a fun and engaging way.

Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic training sessions tailored for children.
• Inspire and motivate young athletes to reach their full potential.
• Create a fun and inclusive atmosphere for learning.
• Develop and evaluate training drills for skill improvement.
• Engage in community-building activities to promote the club.
• Facilitate seasonal competitions and friendly matches.
• Collaborate with local schools to promote youth sports.
• Attend relevant coaching workshops and courses.

Requirements

Education

• Level 2 Coaching Qualification or higher
• Additional sports qualifications are a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience coaching children

Technical Skills

• Event Coordination
• Youth Engagement

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Coaching for Performance Certification
• Youth Sports Coach Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working in schools or community centres: Background in coaching or mentoring youth in educational or community environments.
• Current DBS check: Must hold an up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service check.
