Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Severe Emotional Behavioural Disorders Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of emotional and behavioural disorders and will be responsible for providing specialized education tailored to the needs of students facing these challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with severe emotional and behavioural disorders.
  • Implement strategies to support positive behavioural changes.
  • Evaluate and adapt instructional methods based on students' needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  • Engage in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to develop tailored strategies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of legislation and best practices in special education.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Document and report on students’ wellbeing and educational progress.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching students with severe emotional behavioural disorders.
