Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Library Services Manager to lead our library initiatives in Guildford. The successful candidate will enhance community engagement through educational programs while managing library operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the library's daily operations, ensuring adherence to policies and standards.
  • Create innovative educational programs that promote literacy and learning.
  • Supervise library staff, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Work with community organisations to foster library engagement.
  • Evaluate the library's collection and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with schools and colleges to support their educational goals.
  • Administer the library's budget, maximizing the impact of expenditures.
  • Document library usage and prepare analytical reports on performance and outreach.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, or Education
  • Master's degree in a related field is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in library or community service roles
