Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and compassion necessary to support individuals and families in navigating their social challenges, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and assistance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cases involving vulnerable populations.
• Coordinate support services with healthcare providers and community resources.
• Document and report on client progress to stakeholders.
• Engage in legislative advocacy to promote client welfare.
• Facilitate access to mental health and social services.
• Provide emotional and practical support in crisis situations.
• Conduct research to identify community needs and gaps in services.
• Train and mentor junior staff and social work interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work
• Postgraduate qualification in Child Welfare or Family Services preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in social service delivery

Technical Skills

• Mental Health Awareness
• Group Facilitation

• Cultural Competence
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Safeguarding Children Certification
• Mental Health First Aid

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
