Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Skilled Trades Teacher who will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training courses in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding. Ideal candidates will have extensive industry experience and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality vocational training in plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Create and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learners.
  • Evaluate student progress and offer constructive support.
  • Engage with colleagues to develop curricula and teaching materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and standards.
  • Build relationships with local employers for student placements and apprenticeships.
  • Facilitate workshops and practical demonstrations.
  • Contribute to community outreach and events to promote the institute.

Requirements

Education
  • Certified Skilled Tradesperson with extensive industry experience
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed)
Experience
  • At least 3 years' experience working in the skilled trades industry.
