Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Autism Tutor to work closely with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate will employ a range of teaching techniques and strategies to provide effective and individualized support.
Responsibilities
Create tailored interventions to address the specific needs of each student.
Implement evidence-based strategies for behaviour management.
Evaluate student performance and recommend adjustments to learning plans.
Provide support in academic subjects as needed.
Encourage positive behaviour and a love of learning.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about ASD.
Support transitions for students moving between educational settings.
Requirements
Education
Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related fields
Relevant certifications in ASD preferred
Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience working with ASD students
