Job Description

As a Pipe Layer at Leading Constructions Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in the installation and repair of pipelines for various projects. Your hands-on experience with heavy machinery and tools will be crucial, as will your ability to work collaboratively with engineers to ensure efficient execution on site.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections of existing pipelines to assess wear and tear.
  • Replace or repair damaged sections of pipeline efficiently.
  • Use excavation equipment to prepare sites for pipeline installation.
  • Seal and protect joints using approved materials and methodologies.
  • Perform integrity tests on pipelines post-installation.
  • Maintain accurate installation and repair logs.
  • Follow all site safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Train and supervise new team members where applicable.
  • Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot pipeline issues.
  • Contribute to project planning sessions to optimise workflow.

Requirements

Education
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pipeline Repair and Installation
  • Additional training in welding or metal fabrication is advantageous.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience in pipeline repair and installation.
Technical Skills
  • GIS Mapping Software

Languages
  • English: Fluent
