Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety protocols and ensure strict compliance across multiple construction sites. You will be instrumental in identifying potential hazards, conducting safety audits, and training staff to uphold the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Establish safety performance metrics and monitor progress against targets.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and safety awareness campaigns.
  • Review and update safety policies to align with current legislation and best practices.
  • Gather and analyse safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and present reports on safety performance.
  • Mentor junior safety personnel and promote their professional development.
  • Engage with subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • HND in Health and Safety or related discipline
  • Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) is advantageous
Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in construction safety management
