Animation Director

Job Description

As the Animation Director, you will lead a talented team of animators to create visually stunning animations for various projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire animation process from concept to completion, ensuring that our work meets the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all animation production processes.
• Cultivate and maintain a creative atmosphere within the team.
• Review and approve design and animation concepts.
• Work collaboratively with writers and producers to develop compelling narratives.
• Utilise project management software to track progress and deadlines.
• Provide input on hiring and training of animation staff.
• Champion innovative animation technologies and techniques.
• Facilitate the quality assurance processes for final animation outputs.
• Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
• Prepare and present pitches for new projects to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animation or Digital Media
• Master's degree in Animation is highly desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in animation direction or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Animation Software (After Effects, 3ds Max, etc.)
• Composition Techniques
• Sound Design Integration

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Project Management

Certifications

• Advanced Animation Techniques

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Animation Theory: Deep understanding of animation theory and principles.
• Experience with Character Rigging: Skills in character rigging and skinning for 3D models.
