Job Description

As a Charge Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately entering and processing medical billing charges for healthcare services provided to patients. You will liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure that billing processes are timely and precise.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter charges into billing systems in a timely manner.
• Verify charge data and resolve any discrepancies with the appropriate parties.
• Ensure timely submission of claims to insurance companies.
• Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims.
• Prepare billing reports for management review.
• Stay updated on billing and coding regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing and coding with a focus on insurance claims processing
