Job Description

As a Chemical Dependency Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. Your responsibilities will include developing tailored treatment plans, leading therapy sessions, and supporting patients and their families through challenges. Responsibilities

  • Lead group therapy sessions and workshops to promote recovery.
  • Assess treatment efficacy and recommend changes based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
  • Act as a resource for staff regarding addiction-related issues and best practices.
  • Facilitate family support groups and educate families on addiction and recovery processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and organisational standards of practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related degree
  • Master's in Addiction Studies preferred
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in addiction treatment settings
Technical Skills
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Soft Skills
  • Adaptability
  • Conflict resolution skills
Certifications
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
  • First Aid/CPR certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
