Job Description

As an Extraction Worker, you will play a vital role in handling and processing slate materials for a variety of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, and sorting slate, ensuring optimal organisation and safety in the slate yard.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify quality of incoming slate.
• Categorize and segregate slate for further processing.
• Operate cutting tools to tailor slate to specifications.
• Ensure safe handling and movement of slate materials.
• Collaborate effectively with production teams.
• Implement and adhere to all safety protocols during operations.
• Utilize power tools and machinery for slate processing.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant experience in construction preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in slate handling is a plus

Technical Skills

• Ability to work with power tools
• Basic math skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Time management skills

Certifications

• First Aid certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
