Job Description

Join our team as a Rail Yard Engineer where you'll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of coal trams within our mine. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of coal from the depths of the mine to surface processing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of tram operations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage the logistics of coal transportation within the mine efficiently.
• Utilise effective communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members.
• Keep accurate records of coal movements and tram maintenance.
• Adhere to environmental guidelines to minimise the impact of mining activities.
• Train new staff in tram operation and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational qualifications

Experience

• Experience in a similar role within the mining sector preferred.

Technical Skills

• Emergency Procedures

• Forklift operator experience: Experience operating forklifts is an advantage.
