Prepress Technicians and Workers

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lithographers Printer to set up and operate lithographic printing presses, ensuring high-quality and accurate prints. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to produce a variety of printed materials.

Responsibilities

• Keep up-to-date with advancements in printing technology and techniques.
• Review job orders and make necessary adjustments to printing setups.
• Control ink and colour balance for accurate print reproduction.
• Monitor printing processes to detect any errors or issues.
• Coordinate with the production team to meet delivery deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Advanced apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in printing or graphic arts (preferred)

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the printing industry.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of prepress software (e.g., Kodak Prinergy, Agfa Apogee)
• Understanding of colour theory and print reproduction

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Advantageous

• Experience with digital printing processes: Knowledge of modern digital printing to complement lithographic skills.
• Experience with print finishing processes: Knowledge of binding, laminating, and foil stamping.
