Fleet Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a Mold Yard Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of our mold handling and storage processes. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient inventory management, supervise a team of technicians, and maintain high safety standards across our facility.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
• Undertake essential repairs to fleet vehicles swiftly and efficiently.
• Document vehicle history and maintenance performed.
• Communicate effectively with fleet management about vehicle conditions.
• Participate in training programmes to update skills and knowledge.
• Assist in the implementation of lean maintenance practices.
• Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies.
• Contribute to safety audits and compliance checks.
• Develop strategies for reducing vehicle downtime.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of hybrid or electric vehicle systems: Experience with maintenance and repairs on hybrid or electric vehicles.
• Experience with computerized diagnostic systems: Familiarity with software tools for vehicle diagnostics.
