Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Food Safety Technician to join our ambitious team in Llanelli. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and improving food safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulations, and conducting regular audits to guarantee the safety and quality of our products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food processing.
• Conduct food microbiology testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to optimise processes.
• Assist in product development from a food safety perspective.
• Compile monthly reports on food safety performance.
• Provide input on food safety audits and inspections.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping practices.
• Participate in staff training on hygiene and food safety.
• Investigate and resolve food safety incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Food Technology, Environmental Science, or related field
• Additional certifications are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years in a food safety role within a manufacturing environment
