Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled Fiberglass Laminators and Fabricators to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in constructing, repairing, and maintaining the composite structures of marine vessels, ensuring top-tier quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Construct, laminate, and fabricate composite materials for boat manufacturing and repairs.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of composite components through inspections and testing.
• Utilise CAD software to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Collaborate with the design team to implement improvement suggestions.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate with project managers regarding progress and potential challenges.
• Document processes and maintain records of work completed.
• Participate in training sessions on new techniques and safety standards.
• Assist with training junior laminators and fabricators.
• Contribute ideas to improve production efficiency and quality.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant carpentry qualification or apprenticeship
• NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in laminate construction, especially in the marine sector, is preferred

• First Aid Training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
